How do you sow chives?
Chive seeds can be sowed indoors in March and then planted out from April. The best temperatures for sowing fine chives are between 15 and 20 degrees. The seeds then germinate within 3 weeks. If not, put the jars with the chive seeds outside for a few weeks to break dormancy.
If you sow chive seeds directly in the ground, you can start growing them from May. Sow the chive seeds in rows with a row spacing of 20x3cm and at a depth of 0.5 cm.
When can you harvest chives?
