Cauliflower is a vegetable of the cabbage specie in the Brassicaceae family. Besides white cauliflowers there are also green and purple varieties. Very special is the Romanesco cauliflower with green twisted turrets. Tip: Prevent any sunlight on the Cauliflower during the growth. Cover the cabbage with the leaves so that the cabbage stays nice and white and doesn't discolor brown-yellow. The taste is also much better preserved.
