<p>Strawberries grown in your own garden or on a balcony are juicier, more fruity and have a sweeter taste.</p> <p>Strawberries are light germinators, so do not cover strawberry seeds with soil but only lightly press the seeds with the palm of your hand. Light gives the strawberry seeds the stimulus to germinate.</p> <p>Tip: Sprinkle some straw around the strawberry plant, so the strawberries do not get dirty and there is less chance of contamination by fungi and bacteria.</p>

<p>Bell peppers, like most peppers, are a Capsicum Annuum variety. Because they contain almost no capsaicin, bell peppers do not taste hot.</p> <p>Unripe peppers are green and change color as they ripen. Red and orange bell peppers also acquire a much sweeter taste as they ripen. Red peppers contain 3 times as much vitamin C as an orange, an orange bell pepper even a little more.</p>
<p>Peppers can be used ripe, unripe, fresh and dried. A ripe pepper is 3 times as hot as an unripe pepper.</p> <p>Make sure the temperature stays above 18 degrees. At lower temperatures, the growth of pepper plants stops. It is therefore preferable to grow indoors, in a greenhouse or in a sunny sheltered place.</p>

The heaviest giant pumpkin comes from Belgium with a weight of 1190kg. The record in the Netherlands is almost 670kg.</p> <p>Pumpkins are of course also very tasty to eat, think of pumpkin soup and pumpkin pie.</p> <p>Most gourds are inedible and are used for decoration.</p>
