Because chive seeds germinate best in the colder days, it is best to sow the chive seeds in early spring. The first year the Chive plant is not big enough to be fully harvested, the second year it has become a beautiful mature chive plant.

TIP!  Put in autumn some chive plants from the garden in a pot, cut the leaves and let them grow indoors.
