How do you grow Fenugreek sprouts?
- Fill the sprouting dish with tap water to the bottom of the grid.
- Sprinkle a thin layer of seed evenly on the grid.
- Place the sprouting dish at room temperature, in a light spot, but not in full sun.
- Check the water level daily and top it up to the grid if necessary. As long as the seeds have not yet sprouted roots, they should remain moist, but not soaked.
- After two days, the Fenugreek seeds are attached to the grid with their radicles and you can change the water.
- Keep checking the water level daily. The seedlings should be in the water, but keep the seedlings dry. This reduces the chance of problems with fungi.
- After 6 to 10 days, the Fenugreek seedlings are 5 to 6 cm long and can be harvested. Cut them with scissors just above the grid.
- A lot of seed coats grow with the plants. They are edible, but you can also gently rinse the plants in a bowl of water to remove the seed coats.
