Sowing: Sow the pumpkin seeds from early May to mid-June in the open ground on a seedbed and plant them in fertile soil. Lead the tendrils alternately to the left and to the right. Water regularly.
Harvest pumpkins from September to October, in any case before the first night frost. A pumpkin is ripe when the stems start to dry out and show small wrinkles/cracks. The pumpkin has not grown for some time and has also become somewhat duller. Normally the colour will also become more intense.
Leave approximately 5 to 8 cm of stem on the pumpkin when harvesting. Try to harvest in dry conditions and not to bruise or damage the pumpkins. Store in a dry, frost-free place, do not stack the pumpkins on top of each other.
