Curly kale is a fast-growing microgreen and can be harvested after just a week. the butter-tender leaves of the baby leaf are ideal for making smoothies.


Microgreens are vegetables and herbs that you harvest at a young stage and eat raw. They can be divided into two groups:

  • Micro leaves: harvest and eat both the germ leaf and the stem; the germ.
  • Baby leaves: harvest the shoots and eat the young leaves.

Step-by-step plan to grow microgreens

  1. place the soil tablet in the terracotta dish
  2. add approx. 100 ml lukewarm water
  3. after 5 minutes the soil is ready for use
  4. sprinkle 1/3 of the bag of seeds over the soil
  5. gently press the seeds
  6. place the dish in a light and warm place (20 °C)
  7. keep the soil moist with a plant spray
  8. can be harvested as micro-leaf after 7 days, baby leaf 3-4 weeks
