Japanese Tatsoi is a fast growing and easy to grow microgreen. As a microleave, Japanese Tatsoi can be harvested after just 7 days. Its mild flavor goes well with a wide variety of dishes.
Microgreens are vegetables and herbs that you harvest at a young stage and eat raw. They can be divided into two groups:
- Micro leaves: harvest and eat both the germ leaf and the stem; the germ.
- Baby leaves: harvest the shoots and eat the young leaves.
Step-by-step plan to grow microgreens
- place the soil tablet in the terracotta dish
- add approx. 100 ml lukewarm water
- after 5 minutes the soil is ready for use
- sprinkle 1/3 of the bag of seeds over the soil
- gently press the seeds
- place the dish in a light and warm place (20 °C)
- keep the soil moist with a plant spray
- can be harvested as micro-leaf after 7 days, baby leaf 3-4 weeks
