Sweet Life F1 is a very sweet gardener hybrid sweet corn variety. The corn cobs have decorative golden yellow and creamy white corn kernels with a very sweet taste.
How do I Grow Sweetcorn?
Sow corn seeds indoors from April to early May. Put 1-2 corn seeds in a small pot about 3 cm deep. After about a week, the corn seeds germinate. After germination, place the seedlings at a cooler spot or they will grow too fast and become long and thin.
At the end of May until the end of June, you can also sow directly outdoors in the garden. Be careful, do not sow too early, because if the soil is too cold, the seeds will rot faster. Also protect the seeds from birds and mouses, they love corn seeds.
Plant out
From mid May you can plant de the maize plants outside, at a warm and sunny spot. To ensure optimal pollination, plant several corn plants close together.
Harvesting
Corn plants produce two corn cobs per plant. Harvest the corn on the cob the bloomers have turned dark brown and, if milky liquid comes out of the cob when you prick it. White grains indicate a premature harvest and hard grains indicate a late harvest.
