Sowing
Sow the Sprouting broccoli seeds from mid-March to early July in a seedbed in the open ground. Plant out in the final growing location when the plants are approximately 5 weeks old (from April to August). Preferably plant somewhere where cabbage has not grown before. Keep the soil sufficiently moist.
Harvest
Sprouting broccoli can be harvested from July to October. Cut out the umbels when the buds are still closed. Leave the plants alone, because new flower umbels continue to grow from the leaf axils that can be harvested.
