Broad-Leaf Garden Cress
Cress is a fast-germinating, fresh and peppery herb that can be sown year-round, both indoors and outdoors. Packed with vitamin C, it's perfect for salads, sandwiches, or as a green topping. This variety has slightly larger leaves than common garden cress.
Sowing
Sow cress directly in pots, on plates with moist paper towels, or in open ground. Indoors, it can be grown year-round with enough light and a temperature around 20°C (68°F). Outdoors, sow from March to mid-October. Keep the soil slightly moist and you’ll see results within just a few days! Sow a little every two weeks for a continuous fresh harvest.
Harvesting
Cress can be harvested all year round. It’s usually ready once the stems are about 3–5 cm tall, typically 10–14 days after sowing. Sow every two weeks for a steady supply of fresh cress.
