Description

Dame Hanae Soybean Seeds

The Dame Hanae soybean produces dark green pods, each containing three large kernels. This versatile soybean is a culinary favorite, both as a vegetable in salads and in the popular "Edamame" form. The young, green pods are boiled in salt water and heavily seasoned, after which the kernels are eaten straight from the pod as a healthy snack.

At 60-80 cm tall, this easy-to-grow bean is ideal for both novice and experienced gardeners.

  • Dark green pods: Each pod contains three large, tasty kernels.
  • Versatile use: Perfect for salads, as a vegetable, or as an "Edamame" snack.
  • Easy to grow: Suitable for both beginners and experienced gardeners.
  • Compact growth: Plants grow to 60-80 cm tall.

Please note: Soybeans should always be cooked, not eaten raw.

Soybean cultivation method
Sow the soybeans indoors at 16-25°C in early March-April and plant them out later. Or sow the soybeans directly in the open ground from mid-May. With a cultivation period of 90-95 days, the Summer Shell soybean produces a medium-early yield that extends over an extra-long harvest window.

Soybean preparation
The preparation is done by blanching for 2 minutes. This automatically releases the soybeans from the pod. At this point, they can be ideally frozen or of course processed into delicious dishes. Soybeans are often used in soups and stews, but are also used in cold dishes such as salads. Due to their high protein content, they provide a lot of valuable energy.

The popular Edamame dish is a healthy snack alternative to chips. For this, the unripe beans and their pods are boiled in salt water for a few minutes and eaten without the pod. They are a healthy alternative to chips! The pods are not suitable for consumption and must be opened first.
