A greenhouse is not really necessary, but it does give the best results. A sheltered place in the sun also works well. Plant the bottle gourd plants in humus-rich, moist soil. When you let the plants climb or tie up, you harvest the most beautiful fruits. Do not sow too late, otherwise the fruits will not ripen sufficiently. Fruits that are well ripe can be left to dry and stored for a long time.
