Norli dwarf stem pod seeds
Norli stem-pod seeds from Van Hemert & Co seeds
Norli pods are an early stem pod variety with nice small skinless pods. Stampeul Norli is a low-bearing variety, needs no support and is therefore widely grown.
The very tender pods of stampeul Norli are quite small and get a slightly sweeter taste at a later stage, just like sugar snap peas. All Norli pods can be harvested at the same time.
- stamp pod, no support needed
- very tender skinless pods
- pods can be harvested at the same time
Norli is an improvement of the old Grace pod variety.
Because the plants are only about 50 cm high, Norli pistil does not have to grow along wire mesh or brushwood. The stems are sturdy and the plants remain upright.

Cultivation method Norli stem pod
Sowing pods
Sow directly in the open ground from early February to April. Sow in lines or rows with a spacing of 50 cm and space the seeds 5 cm in the row. Make sure that the soil remains sufficiently moist during growth.
For all capuchins, peas and pods, an early cultivation (March/April) yields better results. With a later cultivation from May, this can cause fewer pods and problems with mildew.
Sow sufficiently deep for mice and birds: 3-4 cm. Protect the pods against bird eating!
Harvest pods
Harvest the pods from June to July. Pick the pods as young as possible while they are still juicy. Pick regularly, the peas will taste mealy when you pick later.
Pods are suitable for freezing.
Interchangeable cultivation
It is wise to also use crop rotation for pods. Only place pods in the same spot once every 6 years to minimize the risk of infection by fungal diseases.
