This Painted Lady is a climbing runner bean with beautiful flowers, tinted red and white.
Because of its beautiful flowers, it can also be grown as an ornamental plant. The pods can be eaten as green beans when young; harvest them when they are approximately 10-15 cm long. As the pods grow, they can reach up to 30 cm in length. The shelled beans are then ready to eat.
All beans require humus-rich, slightly moist soil, but no fresh manure. They need plenty of warmth during germination and the first growth period.
