How do you grow pumpkins?

Sow the pumpkin seeds under glass from the end of April/beginning of May, do not overwater during germination. Watch out for mice, they love pumpkin seeds. Once the seeds have germinated, this is no longer a problem. Plant out after about 3 weeks.

You can sow on site in May, provided it is warm enough to ensure a smooth germination. Sow 2 seeds per sowing spot, 3 to 4 cm deep. Leave one plant after emergence. Mice can also throw a spanner in the works outside. You can take preventive action by placing a flower pot upside down on the sowing spot immediately after sowing. Remove the pots after a week!
