How do you grow watermelons?

For both greenhouse and outdoor cultivation, you can pre-sow the watermelon seeds indoors in a tray or pot from mid-April to the end of May. Preferably at a temperature of 20 degrees. Do not make the soil too wet. The seedlings can then be planted out from mid-May to mid-June. Provide sufficient planting distance. Avoid a place that is too wet and excessive fertilization.

When do you harvest watermelons?

The watermelons can be ripe after 35 days after fruiting. A dried stem is a sign of ripeness. The melons stay well on the plant for a long time, so pick them shortly before consumption.
