Cultivation method / sowing stock peas

Sowing

Sow American Wonder green peas from March to April directly in the garden.

Sow the peas 2-3 cm deep in rows with a row spacing of 50 cm and 5 cm apart. Make sure the soil remains sufficiently moist during growth. Do not use fresh farmyard manure.

Brushwood or mesh for support is not necessary. However, by supporting the plants slightly with a wire along the line, it is usually easier to pick the pods.

Harvests

American Wonder green peas can be harvested from June to mid-July.

Crop cultivation

It is wise to also use crop rotation with peas. Only put peas in the same spot once every 6 years to minimize the risk of fungal infections.
