How do you sow Batavian Endive seeds?
From March-April Batavian Endive seeds number 5 can be sown under glass. Or sow the organic endive seeds outdoors in a seedbed or in rows in June-July. Plant out or thin out after 3-4 weeks. Endive is sensitive to cold and 'shoots' quickly, so wait a while before sowing when it is still cold at night (< 12°C). The planting distance should be about 30x30 cm; closer planting does not give a higher yield and the risk of contamination is greater.
When can you harvest Batavian endive?
You can harvest endive Batavian from May to October.
