The colder the nights, the more purple the leaves of kale 'Roter Grünkohl' become. This variety can tolerate frost well and is also suitable as a baby leaf. Sow in the open ground in May.

The red kale requires the same cultivation concerns as its green brother. Sow in May on a seedbed in the open ground.
Sow close together for propagation and transplant after about 6 weeks with a distance of 65 x 50 cm. Organic Kale Roter Grunkohl is also suitable as a baby leaf (sowing period April-August)!
Harvest November to the end of January.

Note: pigeons, hares and rabbits love young cabbage plants. Therefore, cover them with gauze or cloth.
