Celeriac Dolvi
Celeriac Dolvi is a classic root vegetable, known for its firm texture and mild, aromatic flavor. Perfect for soups, mash, or roasted in the oven.
Sowing
Sow indoors from February to April, or outdoors from mid-April. Due to the fine seeds, pre-sowing in trays or pots is recommended. Germination takes 2–4 weeks, depending on temperature and light. Use light, airy potting soil for strong, compact roots.
After pricking out, transplant the seedlings once they are sturdy enough — usually after about two months. Space the plants at least 30 cm apart and choose a sunny to semi-shaded spot.
Harvesting
Harvest from October onward. The roots continue to grow well into late summer and autumn, but be sure to harvest before the first frost.
