This requires a strong, preferably humous soil. A scoop of compost in the planting hole works very well. Sow in April in a container in a warm place (approx. 20°C). Prick out in pots after approx. 1 month or temporarily in a greenhouse or flat box, then plant in the open ground. Plant out in the garden from the second half of May at 50 x 40 cm. Put up at the end of October, shake off some soil, cut off the outer leaves and dig in together, the tuber just below the ground. Cover during frost. Frost-free ensilage is also possible, then remove all the leaves.
