Parijse Markt is a round-rooted carrot variety that also performs well in heavier soils. The carrots resemble large orange radishes. They are juicy, sweet, and thanks to their fast growth, can be harvested very early in the season.

Also known as Parijse Broei or Parijse Markt, this is a round summer carrot that can also be grown under glass in early spring or late autumn.

Sowing
Sow Parijse Markt carrot seeds from mid-March to early July directly in open ground, or under glass in February–March and September. Thin out if necessary to 5 cm spacing. Cover seedlings with insect netting to protect against carrot fly larvae. Keep the soil well-moist during the growing period.

Harvesting
Parijse Markt carrots can be harvested approximately 2–3 months after sowing. The later in the season you sow, the faster they will be ready to harvest.
