Description

Erysimum cheiri, wall flower Fair Lady is a biennial plant that does flower the second year. Wallflowers smell wonderful and are also loved by butterflies, bees and bumblebees. Wallflowers are excellent as cut flowers. 

The wallflowers like a sheltered and sunny spot in the garden. Wallflowers are therefore frequently sowed at the base of a sunny wall.

Tip: The wallflower benefits from being pruned back regularly, this will cause it to branch out and you will get a fuller plant.

Sow Wall flower sddes in May to August in seedbeds in open ground. Plant out in October. Grows well in combination with late flowering spring bulbs. Sweet scented and attracts butterflies.
