The pumpkins can be kept long after harvest, so put them in a cool and dark place.

Sowing:

Sow pumpkin seeds in glass pots in April-May. You can also sow in the garden in mid-May. Plant out at 200 x 100 cm. 2 or 3 plants are enough for a good harvest. The plants need a lot of food. "Asterix" is also grown on compost piles, because the food situation there is ideal.

The plants bloom richly with yellow flowers, but only a few produce fruit. Let the plants grow as undisturbed as possible. Always make sure you have enough moisture.

Harvest: in September-October.
