Choose a sunny and not too wet location for the garlic. Plant the garlic cloves from September to October about 2.5 to 5 cm deep in rows with a planting distance of 10 cm and 20 cm between the rows.
In July, pull the whole winter garlic out of the ground with the foliage. Rinse the winter garlic and let it dry for about 4 weeks. Tie and / or twist the garlic tops together and dry the garlic hanging. After 4 weeks, the leaves and roots can be removed and the garlic can be stored in a cool and dark place.
