Because Delikett pods grow to only 65cm high, they are great fun to grow in a patio, in the vegetable garden, on the balcony or on the roof terrace. The Delikett Sugarsnap seeds are excellent for growing in pots, containers and plant bags.

Pick the Delikett legumes as young as possible to use them as pods. Prefer to use it as a pea? Let the pods ripen a little more, but pick the pods while the peas are still juicy. If you pick it too late, the peas will have a mealy taste. Regular picking is therefore recommended.
Sow Delikett sugarsnap directly in the garden from February to May. Delikett sugarnap green peas can be harvested from June to mid-July.
Cultivation method / sowing stock peas
Sowing
Sow Delikett sugar juice peas from February to May in pots or directly in the garden. It is also possible to pre-sow indoors and then transplant out later.
Sow the peas in rows with a row distance of 45 cm and 5 cm apart. Make sure that the soil remains sufficiently moist during growth. Do not use fresh farmyard manure.
Brushwood or mesh to support Delikett sugar juice is not necessary, but recommended. It makes it easier to pick the sugar snap pods.
Harvests
Delikett sugar juice peas can be harvested from June to mid-July.
Pick the pods while the peas are still juicy. If you pick it too late, the peas will taste mealy. Regular picking is therefore advisable.
Crop cultivation
It is wise to also use crop rotation with peas. Only put peas in the same spot once every 6 years to minimize the risk of infection by fungal diseases.
