Stam-pea Karina is a very early crinkle-seeded pea variety with a high yield of sweet peas. It is an improvement of the old Eminent variety. Karina is also one of the earliest peas to be harvested.
The Karina pea plants are only 60 cm high and can therefore be grown without mesh or brushwood. The pods are easy to pick.
Sow Karina peas directly in the garden from February to April. Karina peas can be harvested from June to mid-July.
Pick the pods while the peas are still juicy. If you pick it too late, the peas will have a mealy taste. Regular picking is therefore recommended.

Sow the peas in rows with a row distance of 45 cm and 5 cm apart. Make sure the soil remains sufficiently moist during growth. Do not use fresh farmyard manure.
Brushwood or mesh for support is not necessary. However, by supporting the plants slightly with a wire along the line, it is easier to pick the pods.
