French beans need support, for example use crossed bamboo canes in rows, preferably in a north-south direction. Place the sticks in rows 150 cm apart, leaving 40 cm between the sticks in the row. Use 3-5 seeds per stick, about 3 cm deep.
Sow the pole beans in the open ground from mid-May to early July. For early cultivation, sow under glass from the end of April and plant out in the second half of May.
