Cauliflower likes a nutritious, well-drained soil and a generous crop rotation is very important because of club root.
Sowing: Sow in May to plant out the plants in June/July. This reduces the risk of borers (early small cauliflowers). Or mid-May to early July in a seedbed in the open ground. Plant out mid-June to August, preferably four weeks after sowing, to reduce the risk of borers (early small cauliflowers).
Planting distance: 60x50 cm
Harvest: September-December. Protect against frost by covering the cabbage with a leaf.
