Sowing
From March, the Romaine lettuce seeds can be grown indoors or in a cold frame and planted outside after about 4 weeks. Sowing directly outdoors is also possible from April. Lettuce needs a sunny position in a humus-rich, moist and nutrient-rich soil. Regular watering is important, but additional fertilization is not necessary.
Harvest
The Xanadu romaine lettuce can be harvested from May to October, as long as only the outer leaves are picked and the heart remains undamaged. Whole heads keep well if they are kept in a cool place after harvest.
