How do you sow Radicchio?
Sow the Radicchio seeds from May-June first, plant in June and July, for a harvest in September, October and November. Keep a planting distance of 30x40 cm. This variety is not suitable for growing in hot summers. Light frost tolerance. This variety prefers relatively low temperatures and is preferably planted in well-drained soil with a high humus and moisture content. The heads can be kept reasonably well in the refrigerator, at least 1 week.
Due to the dense head shape, Radicchio Rosso can be susceptible to infection by stain and bulb rot, especially when planting late and/or for a prolonged period of rain.
These seeds are provided with a biologically certified coating which makes sowing easier.
