Growing Maracuja
The seeds of Maracuja can be sown from January to July. Soak the seeds overnight in lukewarm water to soften the outer shell. After soaking you can plant the seeds.
Sow the Maracuja seeds about 1 cm deep in the ground. Maracuja thrives in warm temperatures. Ensure that the ambient temperature remains consistently high, ideally above 20°C.
Keep the soil moist but not soggy. Excessive watering can lead to rotting of the seeds or seedlings. Water with a sprinkler as necessary to keep the soil evenly moist.
Maracuja thrives in well-drained, fertile soil. Make sure the soil is light and airy. If you live in an area with heavy clay soil, consider adding organic matter such as compost to improve drainage.
To enjoy the delicious fruits, do not prune the plant during the flowering period from May to August. In addition, hand pollination is necessary because of the indoor culture.
Harvest
In July to October you can finally enjoy the delicious passion fruits.
