Malope is very similar to the cup mallow (Lavatera), however, the Malope, with its 90 cm, is a lot higher than the cup mallow (50 cm). Malope are also available in more different flower colors and some flowers have beautiful contrasting colored veins.
Sow the Malope seeds from mid March - mid April under glass, or from mid April - mid May directly outdoors in a seedbed; Plant out 5-6 weeks later at a planting distance of 25x40cm.
