Ice lettuce Barcelona has been specially developed for growers but also very suitable for the hobby gardener. Barcelona ice lettuce is suitable for spring and summer cultivation. Ice lettuce Barcelona produces large, round heads, with a green binder and an almost white head. Barcelona remains healthy for a long time and is widely used by gardeners. Resistant to green aphids, root nematodes, white fysio, no. 1 to 16, 19 and 21 and tolerant to lettuce mosaic virus

Sowing: spring crop: February-March, summer crop: April-July. Directly in the garden. Sow in moist soil in rows at a distance of 40 cm. Sow shallow, the seed should be just covered. Thin out or plant out at 40 cm as a rule (remove the surplus plants in between). Do this when the plants are 2-4 cm in size. Lettuce germinates best at a fairly low temperature (up to approx. 18ºC). In warm weather, therefore, sow in a shady seed bed. Keep the soil moist and open during cultivation.
