How and when to plant dahlia tubers?
Dahlia tubers are sensitive to frost, so do not plant dahlia tubers until the chance of frost has passed from March to May.
Plant the dahlia tubers in a sunny spot about 5 centimeters deep with the tip upwards. Water the dahlias well after planting and keep the soil regularly moist. Provide sufficient water, especially during the flowering period.
By planting dahlias close together you create a beautiful flower field.
When do dahlia tubers bloom?
Dahlias are summer bloomers and bloom from July to October.
Remove the withered flowers regularly, so that new flower buds can be formed. For extra large flowers remove the side buds.
