Plant the daffodil bulbs from September to December with the tip up. Plant the daffodil bulbs about 10-15 cm deep and 10-15 cm apart. In a pot, the daffodils can also be planted closer to each other for a better result, but make sure that the bulbs do not touch each other.
Daffodils are like perennials, so give them a nice spot to enjoy them every spring. Provide a location with sufficient light (full sun or partial shade) and well-drained soil. If the soil in your garden is heavy clay, mix in some sharp sand or peat to improve the soil.
Daffodils bloom early in the spring, from March to April. This is why daffodils are so popular and add color to the garden early on.
Fertilize the daffodils in early spring with a low-nitrogen fertilizer.
After flowering, cut off the old flowers. Leave the leaves on the plant until they turn yellow and wither. In this way, all energy goes back to the bulb and you will enjoy the daffodils again the following year.
