How to plant crocuses?

When?

Plant the small crocus bulbs from September to December with the tips up. Plant the crocus bulbs in small groups about 8 cm deep and 8 cm apart. In a pot, the crocuses can also be planted closer together for a better result.

Location?

Crocuses require well-drained soil. If the soil in your garden is heavy clay, mix in some sharp sand or peat to improve the soil.

Crocuses look great in the grass and in combination with other flower bulbs or perennials in borders. Provide a location with sufficient light (full sun or partial shade).

When do crocus bulbs bloom?

Crocuses bloom early in the spring, from February to March. This is why crocuses are so popular and add color to the garden early in spring. Crocuses left over from the year before will always bloom earlier than newly planted crocuses.
