Put asters in a different place in the garden every year to keep the soil healthy and prevent diseases. Remove the spent flowers, this will make the aster bloom longer.
Sowing: Sow the aster seeds widely or in rows directly in the open ground at the end of March to May, the stems will then grow longer. Or sow mid-March to mid-April under glass or mid-April to mid-May outdoors in a seedbed; Plant out 5-6 weeks later. Provide well-drained, loose soil and never plant asters in the same place for 2 years in a row, due to susceptibility to soil diseases.
