Blue Sweet Woodruff is an ideal ornamental ground cover, it prefers a shady place such as under trees. The flowers of sweet woodruff are very small and fine, but smell freshly sweet. The scent gets stronger after the herb is picked. In the past, pillows were filled with this nice smelling Sweet Woodruff herb. In many legends, the Sweet Woodruff is the crib straw of the baby Jesus and Mother Mary.
