Description

Igloo is a cauliflower for early summer cultivation under flat glass and in the open ground. But this variety is also used for the so-called, weed breeding, where the plants remain in a planter for the winter.

Sowing:  Early summer cultivation, from early February to mid-March. When the plants are large enough, plant them out in the open ground. Planting distance 70x60 cm. Don't wait too long before planting out. If young plants that are too large are transplanted, “borers”, small cauliflowers formed too early, can develop. This can also occur if growth is disrupted. Always provide the plants with sufficient moisture. Never give fresh manure. Do not pour on the sheet. The plants are well self-covering, i.e. sufficient leaves develop to cover the cabbage.

Harvest: Early summer cultivation; early June-July. woad breeding; May
